‘Kill list’ naming teachers found outside Arlington school

After a “kill list” was found outside an Arlington junior high school over the weekend, extra police officers were dispatched there Monday, according to WFAA.

The threatening note described as a “kill list” named 10 teachers from Young Junior High School, where the note was found. It also named seven teachers from Miller Elementary, WFAA is reporting.

School officials implemented enhanced security procedures Monday, including extra police and school district personnel. Arlington police were investigating who was responsible for the note.

The added security will remain in place until more is known, AISD spokeswoman Amy Casas told WFAA Monday night.

“The police believe there is no imminent threat to students or staff at either campus. However, the district and the police department will not take this investigation lightly,” she said.
